About Naxos Sailing

Captain George (George Fragiskos) has been running his company since 1982. He provides a professional service with a personal touch and he is by far the most experienced captain on Naxos.

He has entertained clients from all over the world, firstly on his forty-five luxury cruiser “Annabella” and then in more recent years “Annabella”, a forty-five foot Beneteau cruiser/racer. George is keen to ensure that every cruise provides each client with a unique yet an amazing experience and lasting memories of Greece.

Born on the beautiful island of Naxos, George, who has a registered Professional Skippers diploma, has lived most of his life either beside or on the sea.

With more than forty-five years sailing experience his knowledge of the waters of the Aegean and its islands is second to none. He also has an in depth knowledge on the history and local customs of the islands and is always willing to share this information with any of his clients. Captain George prides himself on always being at hand to provide technical or any other kind of assistance both before and during each cruise be it bareboat or skippered charter. Thus ensuring the clients safety and ultimate enjoyment of their time on the cruise.

All our Naxos sailing tours start when we greet you with a warm Greek “KALIMERA!” at our berth in front of the cafe “Rendez vous”.

We set sail from Naxos and the surrounding islands and islets with Naxian Captain GEORGE FRAGISKOS on the luxury yacht “Annabella” to meet new friends, to share adventures and exciting experiences of a lifetime while you learn about historical monuments and thrilling myths that surround them. You will see old and new castles and chapels wander about in quaint, picturesque, traditional villages and mysterious sea caves where legends were born.

You will know that you have made the right decision to sail with us when dolphins come out to play while they race in front of us as we cut through the crystal clear, cool blue waters.

While aboard, Captain GEORGE will teach you the art of sailing, under the tutelage of our “old salt” that has over forty years of knowledge and many thousands of sea miles of experience in the Greek waters and the Mediterranean Sea, you will get the chance to learn all about instrument navigation, trimming sails and steering a luxury yacht and have photos and video footage to remember it all!

Once you have had your fill, we take a relaxing sail back to Naxos arriving around 18:00hrs weather permitting. Please note that the entire trip is under full sail.
